Here at Activate we offer a supported program which is individually based on the students needs and goals, we offer guidance on career goals and pathways to assist them with their next journey. If they are looking for their first casual job, seeking some assistance with regards to planning their career pathways, future learning or at the end their schooling journey, they are likely to be making some big decisions about their future and next steps. This can be a positive time for some and for others, they may be feeling quite anxious. School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) aims to make the transition to employment as smooth as possible for young people with different abilities and prepare them for the workforce. Our individualised program aims to build a relationship with them to lift their confidence, skills and employability to feel comfortable in being job ready. We help them find work and support them throughout their initial stages of being an employee, beyond this we can look to further education, other work experience and trade courses. With our extensive network we will assist them in seeking employers for work experience and ongoing employment.
We offer a mobile service which allows us to come to your school – schools are very supportive of this, we can visit you in your home, meet you in the community or alternatively we can work via video link, whichever option best meets your needs. We help you gain experience and confidence in areas such as resume writing and interview skills, travelling, time management, communication in the work place, understanding expectations, money handling and searching for a job within your desired location.
Our aim is to support you to discover your education and employment pathways for the future, build your independence and skills to follow your dreams, and successfully transition from school to the workplace.

School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) is a NDIS funded program. SLES supports those in their final years of schooling and directly after leaving school to take the next step towards their chosen career path. SLES funding sits as additional allocation of funding outside your other planned supports.
At Activate we also offer employment supports which sits under Capacity Building – Finding and Keeping a Job. We would be able to commence a program for you whilst we wait for your SLES supports to be added to your plan.
